Hesperion is now Averion International

On October 31, 2007, Averion International Corp. acquired Hesperion AG, a Swiss-based, full-service, clinical research organization (CRO), which doubled the size of the company and expanded its global reach throughout Europe and the rest of world. With the acquisition and integration of Hesperion, Averion is now a mid-sized, international CRO with over 400 professionals working in 12 countries to support global clinical trials for pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device clients. 

Hesperion brings over 10 years of expertise and experience in running international clinical trials, primarily in Oncology, Cardiology and Vaccines.  This complements the combined company's core therapeutic strength and focus in Oncology, Cardiology, Medical Devices and diseases of the Central Nervous System.  

The ongoing integration of Hesperion has strengthened our management team, clinical trials services offerings, consulting expertise, technology offering and therapeutic expertise.  Hesperion is now Averion International.
