Averion’s Medical Device Advisory Board

Averion International, a leading CRO in performing medical device trials is pleased to announce that it has set up a medical device advisory board.   The advisory board is made up of medical device key opinion leaders that will provide Averion’s clients with non-biased, third-party recommendations on the planning, design and implementation of their medical device programs.   

Averion International has performed more than 140 medical device studies over the past 25 years.   Our experience spans many therapeutics classes  inclusive of spine, orthopedics, joint injections, bone substitutes and growth factors, wound healing, adhesion prevention, gynecology, dermatology, oncology, cardiovascular, respiratory, imaging, and diagnostics.  We also have significant experience with combination products including bridge to organ transplantation for renal and liver assist devices.

 Averion's medical device team is led by Dr. Philip Lavin who brings 25 years of continuous regulatory, statistical, and clinical expertise.   His expertise is complemented by our program directors, project managers and CRAs who are experts in performing device trials.

Averion’s medical device advisory board complements our current in-house device expertise and offers our clients access to external key opinion leaders in their specific field of study.  Currently, our advisory board members are experts in the areas of Spine; Cartilage Repair, Bone Substitutes & Growth Factors;  Periodontology; Wound Healing; Adhesion Prevention; Gynecology; and Cardiovascular Disease.
